Today, NUS has fourteen Faculties/Schools. These are

NUS was ranked 28th in the world (3rd in Asia) in the Quarcquarelli Symonds World University Rankings Results 2011 and ranked 27th in the world (3rd in Asia) in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (by Reputation) 2011-2012.

NUS continued to fare well in the major disciplines; consistently performing at the top in world rankings. NUS emerged 12th for Social Sciences and Life Sciences & Medicine in the world ranking. The university came in 2nd in Asia for IT & Engineering and Arts & Humanities while achieving the 9th and 12th spot in the world ranking. NUS also ranked 3rd in Asia and 16th in the world for Natural Sciences.
